The Project

Countryside Partnerships, part of Vistry Group, has joined forces with Places for People to provide 242 new homes at Higher Newham Farm in Truro, with half of the new homes developed for affordable housing.

Countryside Partnerships will be working with Places for People to deliver a mixture of tenures including affordable rent and shared ownership, offering an affordable housing solution for local people.

The remaining homes will be sold on the open market under the Countryside Homes brand. The new development will offer a collection of 1,2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and will be available to purchase using the range of buying schemes offered by the Countryside Partnerships, helping buyers move onto or up the property ladder.

The new homes built on the 21.2 acres site will benefit from stunning views of the Fal Estuary and Truro Cathedral. Work will begin on the new homes this winter and the final phase of development is expected to be completed by Summer 2027.

Peter Sadler, Managing Director Countryside Partnerships South West added; “We are passionate about creating sustainable and vibrant new communities and are delighted to have joined forces with our partners, Places for people to deliver this fantastic new site and deliver much needed homes for local people.
